Honda Sabre rear shock swap info

Rear Caliper Relocation info

Corbin Hollywood Solo info

The Punisher is a yellow & black 2000 Honda Shadow Aero. The reasons for its name are many. Honda's attempt at emulating the HD single-pin crankshaft feel resulted in a very shaky engine, with a lot of vibration. This lends to the familiar exhaust note, which is made more unique with the 2" Cobra Drag pipes using slash cuts. Many riders have commented that the bike can be uncomfortable to ride next to.

So far the modifications are light. The Cobra pipes and a Memphis shade came on the bike when purchased in mid-2004. The shades came off, and the Cobras were replaced for a short while by a set of the nice stock pipes, but just had to be switched back because i missed the sound of open pipes. Some replacement levers were purchased with skulls on the ends, for a subtle, twisted touch. A Dyna 3000 ignition module was installed as well, but the bike still needs some work on the jets to make it run better at high revs. A K&N filter probably didn't help the fuel/air mixture condition, but will be tuned in. A couple quarts of Redline 10w-40 is being used in the crankcase and transmission.

Other mods include rear Sabre shocks in the rear with the installation of a caliper relocation kit to avoid fender damage and to clean up the rear. A Corbin Hollywood Solo was recently purchased to clean up the middle of the bike.

Something is going to be done about the lights, whether the rear bar will be removed entirely and replaced with a Radiantz unit is still undecided. De-chroming/painting is one direction that may be sought, but because the bike has such a classic shape, modifications will be taken with that in mind.
